The public website does not use advertising or analytics cookies today. The apps store sign-in tokens and preferences so MDESK can run.

1. Introduction

This Cookie Notice explains how Margintop Solutions Pvt. Ltd. ("Margintop Solutions", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with MDESK, including the marketing website (mdesk.net), the institute administration portal (app.mdesk.net), the teacher attendance app (including the progressive web app), and related pages that link to this notice (together, the "Sites").

It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use personal information more generally, and with our Terms of Service.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They can help a site remember you, keep you signed in, store a preference, or understand how the site is used.

A session cookie expires when you close the browser. A persistent cookie stays until it expires or you delete it.

First-party and third-party
  • First-party cookies and storage are set by MDESK on our own domains (for example mdesk.net or app.mdesk.net).
  • Third-party cookies are set by another company on their domain — for example Google when you use Google Sign-In, or Meta, TikTok, or LinkedIn when you connect a social account in the marketing module.

This notice also covers similar technologies we actually use: browser web storage (local storage and session storage), progressive-web-app cache on the teacher app, and device tokens for push notifications where those are enabled. We do not use Flash cookies, session-replay tools, or advertising pixels on the Sites today.

3. What we use today

As of the Last Updated date, the marketing website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party marketing pixels. We may use a small number of essential cookies that the host or browser needs to deliver the page.

The institute portal and teacher app use storage mainly so you can stay signed in and so the product remembers your workspace. That is strictly necessary to run the Service.

4. Categories we do not use today

We list these so the notice stays clear if our practices change. We will update this page before we rely on a new category for the Sites.

Not in use on mdesk.net today
  • Advertising or retargeting cookies, including interest-based ads
  • Analytics cookies (for example Google Analytics) or session-replay tools
  • Social plugins that drop tracking cookies on the marketing site itself
  • Email tracking pixels in marketing campaigns sent from this website

5. Your choices

Because we do not currently use non-essential cookies on the marketing website, we do not show a cookie-preference banner that asks you to accept analytics or ads. If we add those categories later, we will update this notice and, where the law requires it, provide a way to refuse them.

What you can do now
  • Sign out of MDESK to clear session tokens.
  • Clear cookies and site data for mdesk.net, app.mdesk.net, and teacher.mdesk.net in your browser settings. You will need to sign in again, and saved preferences will reset.
  • Block cookies in the browser. The marketing site should still load; the apps may not stay signed in or cache attendance offline.
  • Refuse Google Sign-In and use a password or teacher ID instead.
  • Disconnect social accounts in the marketing module and revoke MDESK in that platform’s app settings.

Most browsers accept cookies until you change the setting. Help for common browsers is published by the browser maker (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). You will need to repeat those settings on each device and browser you use.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Notice when we add a provider, a new kind of storage, or a legal duty. We will change the Last Updated date on this page. Material changes that introduce non-essential cookies on the marketing website will also be described in the Privacy Policy.
